UMNO: If It Did Not Foresee Its Chances…

When asked to rate BN candidate Rohaizat Othman’s chances of winning, he said he was optimistic but declined to comment whether the coalition could wrest the seat from PAS.

“It’s difficult to predict.

“We will know in a few hours time . . . need not rush.

Chances of winning are good

“But I see our chances are good,” he said, adding that Umno would not have entered into the contest if it did not foresee its chances.

From the statement above, does it mean that Umno pulled out from the Penanti by-election because they did not foresee its chances? Does the statement above implied that they knew that they will not stand a chance at Penanti, that’s why they did not contest - not because it’s a waste of time and tax-payers’ money as their reason for not contesting?

Yes, UMNO will only contest in seats if “it only foresees its chances!” Not because it’s a waste of time or money!

  1. You know Daniel, when an idiot opens his mouth to speak, he confirms to the whole nation he\’s an idiot! That\’s how I see it! Or they are great liars or champion at double-speaking! Whatever… it all concludes one thing - we cannot trust what they say, anything at all!

  2. Peng,

    It looks like the wind of change didn’t blow for BN in Permatang Pasir. And Muhy’s crystal ball prediction failed again!

  3. Crystal Ball, or mud ball which is which? Muhyiddin can continue to dream on till next By-Election and it may be Pekan\’s turn soon!

  4. Two reasons as I can see:

    1) Chance for UMNO for duit raya;
    2) still have to control damage on the “traitor” mess miscalculation;

    Apparently, the traitor bait and suchlike lowdown tactic still works a little for UMNO, even if in the least to keep rural voters chained in the dark!

    They weren’t looking for any win ! That’s too simplistic!!!
