We Don’t Need A Health Minister Who Just Reads Reports To Us!
KUALA LUMPUR: Another seven people have died due to Influenza A (H1N1), all from the high-risk group, said Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
Another 29 people have been admitted to intensive care units — 16 of them from the high-risk group, he said.

Everyday you read the death toll from H1N1 Influenza A is rising. And we have a Health Minister who everyday just reads out a report of the death toll and those in intensive care.
We don’t need a Health Minister who just read out a report, we need a Health Minister who will find a solution to stop the spreading. There don’t seem to be an improvement on the situation but rather an alarming situation instead!
Updates 17th Aug: 64 deaths! Mr Health Minister get down to business and stop the tidak apa attitude. Have we heard anything positive from you other than your daily reports on how many have died!

Daniel,
If only the Health minister and DG stopped acting like newsreader and realy get down to doing some real management work!
This is my personal experience with how the GH is handling the H1N1. My colleague came back from a few days leave from Johor on Tues and she was having a fever (which started on Sunday). She has sought treatment from a clinic on Monday. I told her to go home immediately and go to the GH. She went to the GH, waited for a few hours and was turned away and told to get a referral letter from the clinic before they would see her. On Tuesday, still having the fever, she went to the GH again. This time they checked her but refused to do a throat swab. She was asked to report to the GH on Thurs. This morning she called me and asked if she could come back to work since she was not given anymore medical leave by the GH (despite the fact she\’s still having a fever, cold and sore throat). After being sick for 5 days and not getting better, the GH seem to be taking this lightly. Not even bothering to advise her to quarantine herself and stay at home. She was left to go back to work! On Wed, she told me that her house mate was down with fever.
And the DG is blaming the private docs and the public for being \’tidak apa\’ on this!
And today another 5 death. All they say is that they are all “high-risk.” And how do they categories “high-risk?” Anybody can contact H1N1, so what makes this people high-risk? Even babies died from it. Are they high-risk?
The GH staff only do what they are told to do like robots. they won’t do more and they don’t use discretion when dealing with patients. I read in the newspaper that this person went to see a doctor in Sg Tua. And she was there around 8.30pm and they say the clinic don’t take anymore patients. And the clinic closes at 9.30pm. They are not worried if you contacting the Influenza A or not, they just want to go home at 9.30pm. Disgusted!
Ther Health Minister should be sacked!!! And the DG too!!!
Yeah! We don\’t need a reader … ! :))
Somebody should \
Wei, Dan!
Why putus-putus like that?
I meant to say that we can\’t tell it\’s really the abominable H1N1 ! It could well be something else. Especially if you\’re a good Reader like the Liow, lor! Tiong Lai … ! :))
It could very well be B1N1 for they care!!!
Salak, no idea why putus-putus lah. Anyway, the H1N1 is more serious than we know. It’s scary to go to mall, supermarket and see people with masks on. I hope the Govt will take this threat of a pandemic seriously. Don’t have to wait till thousands died before they take actions. It’s always like this with our Malaysians’ attitude. They will wait till the bridge collapsed before they think that the bridge is of any danger.
