What Are They Stimulating?
RM60bil Stimulus Package - The Star Online
To the younger generation, The Stimulus Package sounds like a name of a alternative rock band. To one who is in logistic, it’s a new logistic company. And to some it may sound like of a spa or massage promotional deal.
My question is “What is the Stimulus Package?” What is it supposed to stimulate? Ask the ordinary people on the street what do they understand about it and I bet you, they will just stare at you with a blank look.
And how many of us understand by what it means by the way the RM60bil is distributed? See below:
The package, which is equivalent to 9 percent of last year’s GDP, is broken down as follows:
- RM15 billion in fiscal injection
- RM25 billion in guarantee funds
- RM10 billion in equity investment
- RM7 billion for private finance initiative and off-budget projects
- RM3 billion in tax initiatives
Call me dumb, bodoh-swine, nincompoop or whatever - that’s fine, but how am I supposed to understand that? I simply have no idea what it is or how it will ever benefit me or others like me - the ordinary people on the streets?
After reading through the “mini budget” all I can say is, Wow! RM60bil - that’s humongous!
So my question is, how much of it will directly reach me and the ordinary people on the streets?
And where the heck did they get so much money? Like someone who said about the US version of the Stimulus Payment - FROM THE TAXPAYER!
I am a bodoh-swine too!
But not too bodoh to know this 60b will stimulate the bank accounts of some.. people!
What the heck! As long as prices of essential goods are not down, electricity tariff not down, income tax not down.. I am still struggling in this economic tsunami!

Like Anil says, The “boys” will be licking their lips and rubbing their hands in anticipation. (I can just picture it - stimulated by the stimulus package!)
The rich will get richer, and the poor will pick from the crumbs that falls from the table.
DPM likes to use big words to impress the rakyat. Basically the ordinary ppl gets, nothing!

RM60B > RM10B indicated earlier.. woa!!!..But can honestly tell the man-on-the-street how this RM60B can help them? let i story… no body on the street be able to understand all these BIG ALLOCATIONs here and there. to create wealth for SOME PEOPLE~~!! u know what i mean right…
