On The Road - What Ticks You Off?
ON THE ROAD - WHAT TICKS ME OFF!
1. Parents on a bike with their 2 year old son sitting in front with his legs in the basket without wearing helmet. And squeezed in between the parents is the 4 year old daughter with her legs dangling in the air, and without wearing helmet. (Anyway, with or without helmet it’s illegal and it’s so irresponsible of the adults.)
2. On coming bikes without the headlights on and bikes in front of you without the tail-lights!
3. A 60 year old lady cruising at 40kph in her 5- series BMW in a 110kph zone!
4. The car behind you honked as soon as the traffic lights turned green. (Like as if I don’t have to get into gear first)
5. Drivers watching movies while driving (Forget about those talking on the phone - it has become a norm!)
WHAT TICKS YOU OFF OR IRRITATES YOU?
Idiots who occupy more than one lane.
What about..
1) Tail-gating? The car behind you come on behind so close as if the driver is in a hurry to reach hell (figuratively speaking) and flashes impatiently, while you are driving at 110kph and trying to overtake another vehicle.
2) The motorcyclists who dash out of a red-light junction? Who cares if it\’s your right of way even though the light is green on your side?
3) Lorries without tail-lights at night? I almost crash into one on the NSE. It was pitch dark!
4) Overloaded lorries with the load either sticking out or flying off from the lorry? Some metal cylinders fell off a lorry ahead of my car once. I have to swerve dangerously to avoid the flying cylinders. Most exasperating was, the lorry driver wasn\’t aware of it!
5) Drivers smoking with windows down and they crawl at 20kph, to avoid the ash blowing back into the car!
6) Overtaking or coming out of lane into your lane suddenly without any signal! This is what cause accidents!
7) Those who drive in the middle of the road, occupying 2 lanes, you know on the dividing line of a 2-lane road? As if the road belongs to his/her grandfather!
Enough said…
And not forgetting the infamous bus drivers from hell…
Yes Trumpetzzz and Peng. I forgot about the driver who drives in between lanes. Benci lah! Worst still if they are crawling, hoarding both lanes.
Peng. I have a cracked on my windscreen from pebbles that fell from a lorry. And yes, the motorcyclists who has no regards for the traffic lights. Doesn’t matter whether ti’s red, amber or green or whatever colors, they just dashed thru’. And not only that, they will do a wheelie or turned around and looked, like they are very proud of what they have done.
Guess you guys have covered mostly everything except the experience of having had to wait for a parking space while the chap inside the car(knowing someone\’s waiting for his parking spot), takes his time to un-park his b*llz without a care for whoever is waiting for his spot and while you fume in your car by which time would have caused quite a bottleneck jam, the guy feels that\’s his right to, mah!!!
