You Have To Make A Choice! - Syed Hamid Albar

Gunung SodoMee

No matter what the public demands, the government will come up with an excuse or reason. The latest was when asked will Saiful be charged too since it’s ‘consensual?’ Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar said he would not be charged because he had lodged the complaint. “You have to make a choice. Do we charge the person who lodged a police report claiming that the act had taken place?” he said, according to the state Bernama news agency.

Now I was wondering. Hypothetically speaking, what if the act really took place and Anwar made a police report that he had sodomized Saiful with his consent? Will the police charge Saiful for allowing Anwar to sodomize him? And Anwar will be let off, since he is the complainant? Well, according to Syed Hamid Albar, you  don’t charge the person who lodged a police report that the act had taken place.

And he said, “You have to make a choice!” Rubbish! Did he mean, to make a choice or whether to charge Anwar or Saiful? So actually there is no rule of law. The police will just decide who to charge according to their whims and fancies. And obviously, they decided to charge Anwar.

The Home Minster doesn’t decide who should be charged and who should not. The law does. And according to the law, if it is consensual both should be charged. It’s not a ‘choice!’ And you don’t just create a law according to the situation. Just like trying to rush through a new law in parliament that will make it mandatory for you to hand over your DNA specimen if the police demands that you do so. If you refuse to hand over your specimen it will become a crime and you can be sent to jail. Why all of a sudden this new interest in the DNA Act?

and lastly Sam will ask can I???

  3. So does that mean if I had killed someone, all I need to do to get off the hook is to lodge a police report that I have killed that someone? What sort of mentality and logic is the Home Minister trying to put forth to the rakyat? So it would look as though it will be very easy for Najis to get off his suspicion or even conviction of the murder of the Mongolian if he just lodges a police report tomorrow admitting he had done so! Syabas! Malaysia benar-benar boleh (MATI)!!!!!!
