Hop Out Of BN, Mahathir Tells MPs - Malaysiakini

Two days after quitting Umno, ex-president and premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad has suggested another way to force his successor Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to step down.

Barisan Nasional MPs should hop out of the coalition, he wrote in a concise 10-point post on his blog, Chedet.com

“We have heard a lot about the possibility of BN members hopping into opposition parties. If 35 members join the opposition, BN will fall. The opposition will win and form the next government,” he wrote.  Read More From Malaysiakini

Fracture

If you look close enough, you’ll find everyone has a weak spot - that includes Mahathir and Badawi. It’s only a matter of time before one cracks. Who will fall first?

Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall

All the Umno warlords and all the Umno supreme councils

Couldn’t put Humpty Dumpty back

Together again

The Fracture is beyond restoration.

Mahathir resigns

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad called it quit. He took up a ‘dare’ to take the lead to resign from UMNO.  the move was as a show of no confidence in the leadership of PM Abdullah Badawi. Malaysiakini News reported that Sanusi Junid, who is a Mahathir loyalist and a former chief minister of Kedah, had also announced his decision to quit Umno.

Who will be the next?

Will there be an exodus from UMNO?

Will there be a ‘follow me’ syndrome?

Does he have the power of influence?

The Indelible Ink Liar!

Posted in LIFE, PICTURE TALK, AROUND THE BLOG, MALAYSIA, NEWS on May 19th, 2008

EC Liar Liar

What are we to believe? Is there any truth any more! Or should I say are there any more lies? One lie after another. Don’t these people feel a bit of shame? Maybe they are just immuned to lies. It’s their second nature.

First, it was for security and public order they have to cancel the use of the indelible ink. They have reason to believe that some smugglers have brought in the ink from Thailand.

Then last week, Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar said this; “From the witness statements, no individual, syndicate or any particular party was identified to be involved in this (ink smuggling). The complainant and witness’ statement were based on hearsay and no individual was identified positively.” - Malaysiakini News

So from security reason to hearsay evidence and now it was the cabinet orders! Which are we to believe? One excuse after another. More lies!  You think we are fools to believe? Have some respect for the rakyat! Don’t take us for a ride. Read the rest of this entry »

pete was juggling tomatoes.

bored. so he telephoned a few friends instead. “how about getting together to make an anti-racism song and music video?” all said yes without hesitation. not because pete threatened them with a rusty knife. only because they love malaysia.

the contingent swelled to 52 people a few days later. it included filmmakers, dancers, singers, producers, musicians, actors, entrepreneurs, designers, footballers, activists, celebrities, students and a florist. nobody would be paid. yet they were enthused. not because they were high on speed. only because they love Malaysia.

they gathered to record the song. it had a catchy chorus and was able to induce a mass sing-along. everyone was happy when it was done. they named it ‘here in my home’. then more people joined. the party now included more than 120 people. but the budget remained exactly zero. it seems even the spreadsheet loves malaysia.

everyone turned up for the video shoot. much fun was had and friendships made. video editors went to work after the shoot was done. both the recording and the video would be given away for free. a gift to the nation. from those who love malaysia to those who feel the same.

did you ask what this is all about?

it’s about love.

The Oxford Manipulator

The Oxford Manipulator

When met later at Parliament lobby, Khairy rejected claims that of preparing the answer for the minister today.

“The opposition don’t want to listen to question, they don’t want an answer and they don’t like the truth,” he said.

“It is not planted, it’s a supplementary question that I asked. The minister is a very intelligent man. I sure he has anticipated what might be the question,” he added.

“I think it clear they are afraid of the substance that is there,” added Khairy.

In some countries, such pre-arranged questions in Parliament are called ‘Dorothy Dixer’, where a minister get a backbencher to ask a pre-arranged question which can be answered in such a way to either praise the government or attack the opposition.

The term originates from Dix - an Australian columnist - who has the reputation of making up her own questions for advice columns to allow her to publish more interesting answers. (Malaysiakini)

I listened to the press interview, and he keeps repeating the word “substance” in every other sentence. What substance? It was believed that he planted the questions and supply the answers for Amirsham to read out. Is he claiming that there is substance in the answer?  And whose or what substance? He planted the question, provide the answer, so the substance is his! Not necessary the truth. And not necessary any substance in it.

He said, “The opposition don’t want to listen to question, they don’t want an answer and they don’t like the truth.”

Can you blame the opposition? It was his question with his answer and his truth! So again what substance.

I believe the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Amirsham A Aziz is an intelligent man, but to anticipate what might be the next question - well he is not only intelligent - he is a psychic with a supernatural ability to foresee the future. Only one with such power will be able to provide a two-page written answer in advance.

And by asking a pre-arranged question and providing the answer for the minister to read out, I think Khairy is belittling the minister. He is saying that the minister cannot or is not smart enough to answer the question on his own. So he provides the answer for him. What a manipulator!
