The Four Erasable Indelible Ink Smugglers!

 Indelible Ink

Again like the chinese like to say,  ”cho chai ee cho,” meaning it’s up to them to cook up whatever stories they like. They just erased them off. This is another absurd explaination given by the government.

Can you imagine, the government or rather the Election Commission chairperson Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman together with attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail  and  inspector general of police Musa Hassan all agreed to cancel the use of the ink because of they only heard rumours saying that that certain quarters had purchased indelible ink from abroad with the intention of creating confusion and suspicion as to the status of voters. So for security reasons, they conveniently cancelled the use of the ink!

So now the home minister says, it’s just ‘hearsay evidence’ and the case is now classified as ‘no further action!’. Malaysiakini News

First Rashid said that “Their (the smugglers) intention is to create confusion and suspicion as to the status of such voters.” - like they have evidence of the smugglers’ intention.

Now Syed Hamid Albar said :  “After the police reports were studied and interviews with the complainants and the witnesses, it is found that there was no evidence at all to show the ink was smuggled in from Thailand. This is because no witness has seen the ink. From the witness statements, no individual, syndicate or any particular party was identified to be involved in this (ink smuggling). The complainant and witness’ statement were based on hearsay and no individual was identified positively”.

They are just contradicting each other.  “there was no evidence at all (no idelible ink was ever found), no witness has seen the ink (no one knows about the ink or smugglers), no individual was identified (no person was ever arrested)!” And they cancel the use of the ink! Why in the first place did Rashid said “Their (smugglers) intention?” There was never any evidence of the so-called smugglers’ intention. In fact, I doubt there was ever any Idelible Ink Smugglers!

Throw away RM2.4million of rakyat hard-earned money and case closed! C’mon lah, somebody got to answer to this! It’s not only the money that is involved, it’s about transparency, accountability and good governance. This is also about electing a government who will represent the people for the next 5 years or so. It is about a clean and fair elections! And who knows, with the use of the idelible ink we could have elected another government. There won’t be any ‘hantu’ coming out to vote. And many ‘elected’ MPs and state assembly representatives today, would have lost their seats. The results would have been different.

In the first place. was there ever such reports or such smugglers as they claimed? As I wrote in my previous post, do they ever exist?
I hope that Fong Po Kuan will pursue this matter further till she gets the truth. And someone has to take responsibility of what had happened - not jsut classified it as “no further action!” And with that they conviniently closed the case -’case tutup!’
