Four years ago I was having trouble speaking. Went to see the doctors and I was diagnosed with stage 2 of Larynx cancer on November 2005. Then in February of 2006 I did a 33 courses of radiotherapy at the Mount Miriam Hospital. On January 2007, there was a recurrence and this time it has developed to stage 4. After consulting with some doctors, the only hope I have is surgery. I did a total Laryngectomy & Thyroideetomy Surgery on February 2007. God has been with me all through those difficult and anxious times. Today it has been more than 9 months since my surgery and I’m recovering well. I’m thankful to our Lord Jesus Christ for His love, comfort, peace and grace upon my life.
… do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. (Phil 4:6-8, 19-20)
