I want to salute Joanna Yun of Magnificent Freedom Sdn Bhd.  Her company had their 3rd Anniversay Celebtation luncheon at the Tanjung Club Penang on 27th Oct 2007. There were like 400 invited guests, which not only consist of clients , family members, friends and church members but also members from the Eden Handicap Centre, the elderly from Rumah Charis for the Senior Citizens and children from an orphanage. How many would do that? How many would think of them? Sad to say not many.

Once Jesus was invited to a dinner, and he noticed that all the guests were rushing for the place of honour. Why? People like to feel important! They like to be seen with the rich, the powerful, the famous and those with great influence - for these people are always invited to sit in the front or have the best tables. But Jesus said ” For everyone who exalts himself  will be humbled, but the person who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Then he told the man who invited him. ” When you give a luncheon or dinner, stop inviting only your friends, brothers, relatives, or rich neighbours. Otherwise, they may invite you in return and you would be repaid. Instead, when you give a banquet, make it your habit to invite the poor, the crippled, the lame and the blind. Then you will be blessed because they can’t repay you. For you will be repaid at the ressurection of the righteous.”

Thank you once again Joanna and all at Magnificent Freedom. Not only have you shared with them a good hearty lunch or rather a truly Magnificent lunch, but you have poured out the Love of God to them with no strings attached.

You may have read this before. But, have you really think about it? Hmm ..

Can a family man with Salary RM3,000 survive in Malaysia

Let’s do some simple calculations here.

In Malaysia, the average family income is RM3,000 /month
(where father works, mother doesn’t).

I understand there are many families whose
monthly income does not reach RM3,000,
but, to make things simple,
let’s take RM3,000 as the figure. Ok lah, right?

Okay, let’s start rolling with a family which has
Papa, Mama, 1 daughter and 1 son. Ngam-ngam ….

In case you needed further proof that the human race is doomed through stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods…….

On Tesco’s Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom) — “Do not turn upside down.”
(well…duh, a bit late, huh!)

==========================

On Sainsbury’s peanuts — “Warning: contains nuts.”
(talk about a news flash)

===========================

On Boot’s Children Cough Medicine — “Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication
(We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we could just get those 5 year-olds with head-colds off those bulldozers.)

==========================

On Marks &Spencer Bread Pudding — “Product will be hot after heating.”
(…and you thought????…)

=======================

On a Sears hairdryer
— Do not use while sleeping.
(That’s the only time I have to work on my hair.)
