People tend to interpret their illness as divine intervention
When bad things happened to us we asked God, “Why me?â€
Maybe we should asked, “Why Not me?â€
In the Old Book, Job in his sorrow answered, “Don’t talk like a fool! If we accept blessings from God, we must accept trouble as well.” In all that happened, Job never once said anything against God.
“If I break my leg, I believe it happened for a reason
I believe God allows it to happen.
I also believe he wants me to put a cast on itâ€
Becoming a Christian doesn’t make you a “saintâ€
Just like becoming a doctor doesn’t make you a healer
Just because we are Christians and spend our time in prayer doesn’t mean that we won’t fall sick.
As Jesus walked along, he saw a man who had been blind since birth. Jesus’ disciples asked, “Teacher, why was this man born blind? Was it because he or his parents sinned?”
“No, it wasn’t!” Jesus answered. “But because of his blindness, you will see God work a miracle for him.
The fact that I’m still breathing is God’s miracle at work!
These trails only test your faith to see whether or not it is strong and pure. Your faith is being tested, as fire tests gold and purifies it, and your faith is far more precious to the Lord then mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tested, it will bring you much praise and glory and honour till the day of His return.
God hasn’t left me – the only thing in the way of me knowing he is there is my fear.
I have a choice – faith or fear? That’s the test.
Choosing faith doesn’t mean that you won’t die
But it will effect how you experience your death and therefore your life – it’s up to you
“When I lost all hope, I turned my thoughts to the Lord,â€Â
The Buddhist Chief High Priest of Malaysia, Ven K. Sri Dharmmaratana urged the people to realize that they are human first and act humanely at all times. He continued to say that compassion must be uppermost in the hearts and minds of every human person, which is the only way the war and strife can be averted. – The Star Newspaper
Yes, it must be every person’s basic vocation to be human first. We have our obligations and duties to our fellow human beings yet we ignored it. Our humane responsibility is to love, care and comfort and protect our fellow human beings. God created us men and women, (human beings), to have fellowship with Him and to one another. Sometimes we are so carried away with our faith or religion that we forgot about the person next to us.
When was the last time we feed the hungry or give a cup of cold to the thirsty? Have we ever taken in someone who is homeless and looking for a place to rest their weak bodies? How often have we visited the sick in the hospital to bring them hope or the prisoners to show that we forgive them? What God the Father considers to be pure and genuine religion is this: to take care of orphans and widows in their suffering and to keep oneself from being corrupted by the world.
They are all around us, yet we don’t see them. Sometimes we become so religious that we lost touch of reality. We become useless here on earth. We go through our religious duty and we forget that God command us to “love our neighbours as ourselves and to love God.†God did not intend to make us religious and useless, but rather to have a relationship with Him and to love and care for one another.
If we say we love God, but hate others, we are liars. For we cannot love God, whom we have not seen, if we do not love others, whom we have seen. In other words, if you are a friend of God, then you should be friends to His creation. We are all called to be the salt and light of the world, in the same way your light must shine before people, so that they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven. So let us be human first…
“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household?”
(Matthew 24:45)
The Word tells us that God shows Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are “perfect” toward Him (2 Chron.16:9). That word “perfect” doesn’t mean that we have to do everything just right and live without making a mistake. Thank God, we don’t have to do that. It means “devoted”–a heart consecrated, dedicated, loyal and faithful to God.
The mistakes we make will not stop God from working in our lives. Only our lack of faithfulness can do that.
Who is faithful? The one who spends his time doing what God has called him to do. Or as Jesus put it, the one who takes up his cross and follows Him. The one who denies his fleshly desires and spends his life on the things God desires him to do.
Maybe God has been urging you to spend more time in His Word and in prayer or dealing with you about ministering more to the people around you. He may be calling you to pray for the sick or to teach the Word. But you’re busy, so you glide on with good intentions and tell God you’ll do it later. Well, later is here!
Decide today that you are going to be the faithful and wise servant. Find out what is stealing your time from the Lord. Serve His interests instead of your own.
Do you want to be a ruler in the household of God? Do you want Him to show Himself strong for you? Then take up Jesus’ thoughts today. Take up His purposes and His plans. Now is the time to be faithful!

“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
(Romans 6:4)
As a believer, you actually have residing in you the same new life God gave Jesus when He raised Him from the dead. The old sinner you once were has died. You’ve become a new creation on the inside.
You are full of the resurrection life of God!
But sin, disobedience and living a selfish, carnal life will keep that resurrection life from flowing out. Sin will separate you from the power of God, even though you’re born again. Resurrection life will lay dormant in you if you walk in sin.
You can’t overcome sin by trying to stop sinning, however. You overcome it by walking after the new life God has put within you; by spending time in the Word and in prayer. As you do that, the Spirit of God will strengthen you and enable you to put that sin under your feet.
Remember, though, the Holy Spirit will not subdue those old fleshly habits of yours on His own. He’ll wait on you to take the initiative. Then He will strengthen you to follow through with your decision. He will teach you how to walk in the new life that is in you.
Take the first step today by asking for His help. Say, “Lord, I desire to experience the power to live by this new life every day. By a decision of my heart, I put down the dictates of sin. I declare myself dead to it. In Jesus’ Name, I will spend time in prayer and in the Word today. As I do, I believe I’ll receive a Holy Ghost refreshing in my life. I believe I’ll begin to live out the resurrection power that You’ve placed in me!”

“It [grace] has trained us to reject and renounce all ungodliness (irreligion) and worldly (passionate) desires, to live discreet (temperate, self-controlled), upright, devout (spiritually whole) lives in this present world.”
(Titus 2:12, Amp)
When an athlete goes into training, he practices to improve his skills. He works hard, repeating the same motions over and over until they become what we’d call “second nature” to him.
Most of us understand how crucial that kind of training is in the physical realm. We know that you simply can’t be a winner without it. But did you know we can train ourselves that same way where spiritual things are concerned?
That’s right! Hebrews 5:14 says we can train our senses to discern between good and evil. When you train, or practice, for something you expose yourself daily to whatever it is you want to become. You practice it over and over until it becomes second nature to you. People who are lazy have practiced being lazy. People who are disciplined have practiced being disciplined.
Spending time with God is “spirit” practice. As you do it diligently, your spirit will grow stronger and will start to overcome the habits of the flesh.
If, for example, you have trouble getting up in the morning to spend time with God before the busyness of the day begins, if you’ve been giving in to your flesh and staying in bed, then you’ll have to start practicing getting up. The more you practice it, the easier it will be.
Don’t expect yourself to do it perfectly right from the beginning. Don’t get discouraged when you stumble and fail. You’re just out of practice. Get back on your feet and go at it again!
Become a spiritual athlete. Put yourself in training by practicing the things of God. Build your spirit muscles through fellowship with Him. You will be surprised to find just how much of a winner you can be.

“God hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.”
(Ephesians 2:6-7)
All my life people told me the reason God saved us was so that when we got to Glory, we could spend the rest of eternity loving Him and worshiping Him. But, you know, that’s just not so.
It sounds pretty good, but it’s just something somebody made up. God isn’t selfish. He’s just the opposite. He’s the ultimate giver. The ultimate lover. He doesn’t do anything just so He can get something in return.
Why then did He save us? The Word of God tells us He did it so that in the ages to come, He could show us the exceeding riches of His grace.
Think about that! God is going to spend eternity showing the riches of His grace to you and me.
That’s why He sent Jesus into the world. He so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. God gave Jesus so that He wouldn’t be His only son. He sent Jesus so He could have more sons to love and give to–and He plans to spend the eons of time doing just that.
As a believer, you have the most glorious future ahead of you that anyone could ever ask. But don’t wait until you get to Glory to enjoy it. You can start right now. You’ve already been seated in heavenly places!
