WHAT’S UP!
It has been more than a month since my surgery. Thank God that everything is alright. I’m recovering well and feeling much better day by day. Went for my check up yesterday and the doctor said the stoma is healing well. I’ll be still on soft liquefied diet for the next two months. I can’t wait to get back to real solid food again. One of the setbacks is that I still cough out mucus through the stoma, and this has been the thing that I have to get use too. So everywhere I go, I need to have plenty of facial tissues to clean up the mess. Disgusting! Anyway, life goes on, and I have to just learn to live with it.
Someone asked me recently whether I am disappointed with God after all that has happened to me. Or do I question God why did He allow me to have larynx cancer? And have to do a Laryngectomy Surgery to remove my larynx “voice box To be very honest, I have never questioned God about all this. I just believe that God knows what I’m going through and He will still walk with me through it. I still love God as who He is. I believe God is Sovereign and He is in control of every situation in my life. I don’t know what it is, but I know God has a purpose in everything that happens in our lives.
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight, making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. (Eph 1:7-14)Â
God has made us what we are, and in our union with Christ Jesus he has created us for a life of good deeds, which he has already prepared for us to do. ( Eph 2:10)Â
